The current list of question display types:

The rating question type is defaulted to a value range of 1-5, allowing contacts to "rate" their experience, a candidate, a dog, and so on.

The single-select question type allows you to surface answer options from which a contact can only select one. This is one of the most common question type used for yes/no questions, "what is your favorite way to spend a weekend?" etc.

The multi-select question types allows you to surface answer options from which a contact can select more than one. Think of it as a "pick list" where contacts can "select all that apply." It's great for questions where the noun they are selecting is plural, like "What are your favorite hobbies?"

The input question type lets contacts reply in free-form text—ideal for names, emails, feedback, large numbers, or any response you can’t capture with fixed choices.

The ranking question type lets contacts position a list of answer options into a specified order. These are useful for capturing more granular information on your contact's preferences, and especially for rank-choice voting surveys!
There are two display types:
- "Tap" allows contacts to sort the list of options simply by tapping each one in order. They can also drag/drop them into order by grabbing onto the handles. Tapping a sorted option will "un-sort" it.
- "Slot" allows contacts to sort the list of options by tap-selecting the option, and then tapping the slot they want to insert it into. This can also be done in reverse (tap the slot to select it, and then the option to place that option into the selected slot). Double-tapping a sorted option will "un-sort" it.
Note that both ranking display types have limited character space before they trail off with ellipses (...), so you want to keep your answer options very concise, especially when using the "Tap" display! Sometimes it's even necessary to list all the options in the question itself, and use short-hand for the options. Here's an example:
